All Over Affordabike on King St
I’ll never forget the day I was riding my then rusty old mountain bike down St Phillip St and noticed 2 guys riding around on a bike towing a recliner. Back in 2009, Daniel Russell-Einhorn and Griff Duckworth were just getting started with affordabike. They sold custom beach cruisers and could repair almost anything that had wheels. I would come by to say hello and test drive a beach cruiser now and then or get my beat up old bike tuned up, and they were always so nice, willing to help, and gave great customer service. Finally, the guys started carrying road bikes and as soon as they did, I came in to buy an Origin 8– a “value brand” of road bikes for less than $400. Not only was it a great deal, but they promised to fix any problems I had with the bike. I never had any problems with the bike. In fact it was built so well, that the only thing I’ve had to add is air to the tires and a sweet bell on the front. Today, the guys have relocated to Upper King St and have not only built their inventory and selection of bikes and accessories, but also their customer base, and rapport in the community. I think these guys are great and honestly, if you are looking to buy a new bike, need to get one fixed, would like to rent one for the day, or just want to know some cool dudes, stop in affordabike for great customer service and all of the above.
